This amazing technique is now available in the UK and is offered by Jana Mitackova as an accredited  2 day CPD course for existing practitioners in sports therapy and complementary therapies. The method is extremely popular in Europe, especially in Germany where it has been approved by the medical council. Song Therapy Network
Song Therapy

Song therapy is a complementary therapy that uses music to promote well being and good health. Our online training is for singers, musicians and others running recreational music groups in community, education and care settings. This is an affordable flexible e-learning course open to all, which can be studied at your own pace and you can start at a time that suits you.

Our course explores the specific therapeutic benefits that recreational music making can offer. It encourages a safe and responsible approach to music making in community and care settings; most importantly it makes this training available to those who might not have the financial means or the academic qualifications to consider more traditional studies at university. We explore, in a very practical way, how we might use music as a medicine; music as a language and music as a friend; beyond this some gentle philosophy; a little music therapy theory; the importance of self awareness with a glance at mindfulness and its roots in meditation; emotion theory; balance and the tao; professional practice; person centred thinking; some basic physics, neuroscience, a little human biology; survival theory and a brief dip into developmental psychology; other beautiful bits and bobs all based around the theme of music and well being.

MSTR logo plain.jpg
McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release®

The effective treatment of scar tissue from surgeries and traumatic injury is probably one of the most neglected areas of education for those involved in therapy work. Untreated scar tissue can be responsible for referred pain, restricted joint movement and organ dysfunction. So it really should not be ignored! The physical and psychological effects of scars are wide and far-reaching in their impact. MSTR® (designed by Alastair McLoughlin) addresses scar tissue in a gentle, non-invasive way.

In research, using ultrasound to measure scars both pre and post treatment, MSTR® was shown to reduce C-section scarring by more than 30% in a single 15 minute treatment. (Download the free research reports from our website.)

We don’t ‘break down’ scar tissue. In our one day classes, held throughout the UK, we teach you to ‘re-model’ scar tissue in an effective manner so you can integrate this new skill into your practice. We provide a great team of approved, experienced instructors as well as excellent student and practitioner support. With 7 hours of CPD, MSTR® is a skill that will not only enhance your practice but will change the lives of your clients.
