Discounted Insurance Scheme
Our discounted insurance scheme is available to our members alongside the appropriate package (see membership page for clarification). Once you have joined and your membership has been approved, you can apply directly to Holistic Insurance Services to take advantage of the low cost scheme. You need to do this within 14 days of receiving your CHP membership and can send them your electronic membership certificate as proof of membership. The cost for full members is £50.50 and for students is £35.50.
What is covered?
Malpractice, Professional Indemnity, Public & Products Liability to protect you in the event of a client making an allegation against you.
Cover also includes:

Retroactive cover for previously insured periods

Libel & slander

Jury service compensation

Legal defence costs in respect of claims made under the policy

£5,000,000 Limit of indemnity (for qualified therapists. It is £2,000,000 for students).
Additional Legal Expenses for matters falling outside of your Liability Policy including:

Criminal prosecution defence,

Data Protection Act prosecution,

Inland Revenue and PAYE investigation,

Representation in connection with a disciplinary hearing being conducted by a Membership Association to which you belong,

Representation for civil legal proceedings in respect of allegations of wrongful arrest or malicious prosecution,

Representation for civil legal proceedings in your capacity as a trustee of a pension fund set up for the benefit of your employees

The policy will pay legal costs (including solicitors fees, court costs, expenses for expert witnesses, attendance expenses and accountant’s fees) up to a limit of indemnity of £100,000 for any one claim (£500,000 in the aggregate).
