Looking back on the first 4 months of Complementary Health Professionals (CHP)

Since partnering up with Julia Wood and Julie Quinn and agreeing to take over the AAPA it has been a whirlwind and a steep learning curve. We decided to create a professional association that really invests in our therapist members by offering support in all areas, providing discounts, interesting products, innovative CPD that will help grow your business and online and blended courses fully backed up by a state of the art virtual learning environment.

All of this took an immense amount of work, but we are indebted to Joyce and Lawrence West for their support and advice. Since 1st September we started registering students and graduates from former AAPA schools who needed to get their insurance and start their practices. Then we had the official launch at CAM Expo at the end of September where I gave a one hour workshop on Neuroskeletal Re-alignment Therapy and Julie gave a talk on one of her specialities; reflexology and fertility. We met Jayson at CAM Expo who runs the Holistic Therapist Magazine. From January 2016 your association electronic newsletter will now include a free copy of the magazine. We have attended CNHC, Aromatherapy Council and Reflexology Forums as CHP as it is vital that we continue to work with the regulatory and lead bodies. More recently, we have met up with one of the world's leading aromatherapists, Daniele Ryman, who is the prodigy of Marguerite Maury and we are now selling her amazing aromatherapy massage candles in our shop. There will be more exciting news regarding Marguerite Maury next year so come back and check our blogs regularly!
